Statement of Faith
What we believe
We Believe God is in control of everything; is sovereign in the world, in our lives, our marriages and in our families; is good all the time; is the one true God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal from all eternity each with distinct personalities but of one essence.
We Believe that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, because of Adam’s sin, and that Jesus Christ shed His blood on Calvary as a vicarious substitute for all sinners, was buried and rose again bodily and ascended to the right hand of the Father, from whence He will personally return again.
We Believe people are justified by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ without any mixture of works.
We Believe Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation for all who would believe. There is no way to be born again or saved, except through faith in Him alone. He is God.
We Believe the Holy Spirit lives within every true believer’s heart and convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, indwells and fills the believer for effective service. He is God.
We Believe in a personal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, demons, and evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in the lake of fire where death and hell will ultimately also be placed. They seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God.
We Believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, a complete and final written revelation from God. It has real answers for today in everything we face and everything we will ever face.
We Believe that heaven is a real place where the born again or saved (those who place their trust in the finished work of Jesus having received a new heart and new spirit) will dwell forever, and that hell and ultimately the lake of fire are real, literal places of torment where unbelievers (those who reject Jesus as their Savior) will suffer forever.
We Believe the following about creation:
That this material universe is the result of a sequence of unique creative acts of God the Son, accomplished with the aid of God the Holy Spirit and directed by God the Father.
That the creative acts were ex nihilo (out of nothing), completed by the mere spoken commands of God.
That creation took place in six literal twenty-four days as outlined in the book of Genesis.
We hold to a young earth view supported by the genealogies and other time information provided in the Word of God.
We further believe that the material universe was created in total perfection and that subsequently the universe was sentenced to a slow decay and eventual destruction by the Curse, which was part of the penalty for the disobedience of the parents of all mankind, Adam and Eve.
We view Adam and Eve as real literal people created on the sixth day of creation.
We reject all concepts of a pre-Adamic race.
We believe that the Noahic flood was a real, year-long global event, the results of the judgment of God on the hopelessly rebellious descendants of Adam and Eve.
This judgment resulted in much of the present geology of the Earth, including most of the fossil graveyards.
We further believe that only Noah and his family, eight souls, were saved from the flood and that the world today is of one race (the human race) descended from the family of Noah; dispersed over the face of the earth by the confusion of languages described in Genesis 11.
We Believe the Church is the body and bride of Christ and that God has equipped every single believer in the body with gifts, talents, and abilities to serve one another.
We Believe in the resurrection of both the born again (just) and the lost; the just unto the resurrection of life eternal and the lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation which is separation from God .
We Believe that Jesus Christ is going to return in the clouds for His Bride (the Church) before the tribulation that is coming upon the whole earth; that He will return with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end of the tribulation and set up His kingdom on earth during the millennial reign
We Believe that the white throne judgment will be the final judgment where the unbeliever will be judged according to their works and anyone not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire.
We Believe that genuine believers are born again by the Holy Spirit of God, and are indwelt and baptized into the body of Christ, the true church, and sealed by the Holy Spirit; thus, unable to be separated from the love of Jesus Christ.
We Believe that the nation of Israel has a special place in God's plan, and that all of the promises of God to Israel will be fulfilled both now and in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in His millennium.
